FORMATION & CHOREOGRAPHY NOTES Original Video: During Section 7, dancers move forward and backward to form a line. Line Dance Adaptation: As dancers are already positioned in lines and rows, they continue moving forward during Section 7. At the end of Section 7, dancers make a ¼ turn L and place their R hand on the shoulder of the dancer directly in front of them. At the end of Section 8, dancers make another ¼ turn L, resulting in a total ½ turn L and making this a 2-wall choreography. Why this adaptation? In traditional Line Dance formations, the distance between rows is usually too large to maintain shoulder contact with dancers in the next row. By adding a second ¼ turn L, the shoulder hold can always be performed with dancers from the same original line. Important: Dancers should stand close enough within their own line to allow comfortable shoulder contact. Avoid pulling or pushing the dancer in front. ENDING After completing 5 walls, dance Sections 1 and 2 (the first 16 counts) once more. &1Step R ball beside L, cross L over R. 2Unwind ½ turn R, keeping feet crossed. Finish: Hold your final position. Step Sheet based on the original Jamie Miller Dance Challenge, adapted for Line Dance formations by Daniela Seidel & Sascha Wolf. |
